  • Steering neck: Look around the front of the frame, often near the headlight.
  • Engine block: Check for a stamped number on the engine.
  • Frame near the motor: Some models have the VIN on the frame, close to the motor.

  • BMW: Check on the right side of the steering head or beneath the seat near a BMW motorcycle’s battery for its VIN.
  • Kawasaki: Find the VIN engraved on the side of a Kawasaki’s steering head.
  • Ducati: A Ducati’s VIN is usually found on the left side of the steering head.
  • Harley-Davidson: Harley VINs are generally found on the front side of the engine block, below the cylinders.
  • Honda: Look for the VIN of a Honda motorcycle at the front of the frame near the steering head.
  • Indian: An Indian motorcycle’s VIN is typically found on the left side of the steering head or on the left side of the frame between the engine and the gear set.
  • KTM: Inspect the right side of the frame of a KTM, beneath the seat, or around the area of the steering head for the VIN.
  • MV Agusta: An MV Agusta’s VIN is often located on the right side of the steering head.
  • Suzuki: Look for a Suzuki’s VIN on the steering head or the frame near the motor, depending on the model.
  • Triumph: Triumph VINs are often found on the steering head or on a VIN plate located on the frame beneath the seat.
